Evacuations Ordered Due to Bear Creek Wildland Fire: Residents in parts of the Denali Borough, specifically the June Creek Subdivision and Bear Creek Subdivision (mileposts 264-270 West of the Parks Highway), have been ordered to evacuate due to increased wildfire activity. This “GO” evacuation status was issued Friday.
Expanded “Set and Ready” Status: As of 1 p.m. Saturday, the Denali Borough has expanded the areas under “set and ready” status due to the Bear Creek Fire. No new areas are under “GO” status. Residents in “set” status should be prepared to evacuate.
