Skagway experienced record-breaking heat on Saturday, with an all-time high of 93 degrees reported. The National Weather Service confirmed that a high-pressure system in Southeast Alaska was responsible for the soaring temperatures.

Sports
The Duff’s Skagway Marathon, known as the toughest marathon in Alaska, recently concluded. The winner, a cross-country skier and orienteerer, was a champion.
