Congratulations to local fisherman, Sarah Miller, who landed a massive 350-pound halibut in Prince William Sound yesterday! This impressive catch is believed to be a new record for the area. Sarah, a lifelong resident of Cordova, says she plans to donate a portion of the fish to the local food bank.
Seeking Volunteers for Community Cleanup
The Valdez-Cordova Chamber of Commerce is seeking volunteers for a community cleanup event scheduled for this Saturday. Volunteers will be working to remove litter and debris from parks, trails, and beaches throughout the area.
